Per fare questo verde maraviglioso al vetro di piombo fatto come sopra, cioè a uno padellotto della quantità del sopradetto di verde Smeraldino si dia la medesima quantità, con la mesticanza del croco di Marte fatto con aceto, di polvere di capo morto di vitriolo di venere, il modo di fare tal vitriolo si è mostrato al suo luogo, osservando le diligenze e tempo che nel sopradetto verde, che con questo si farà un verde tanto raro quanto per aventura si possa fare in qual si voglia altro modo, come io ho provato assai volte con mio contento.

66 – Another Marvellous Emerald Green Beyond All the Greens. In order to make this marvellous green in Iead glass, start the same as was done previously [in chapter 65]. That is, to a crucible of the same size, add the same quantity of emerald green as before. However, use the same quantity of iron crocus made with vinegar [chapter 17], and powder of the dry distillation of vitriol of Venus. I showed the way to make such vitriol previously [in chapter 31]. Observe the diligence and timing described for the previous green. In this way, by good fortune, the most rare green will be made. More rare than can be made by any other means whatsoever, which l have made many times to my content.
