Soak your wheat in water till the grains become soft, changing the water every day, otherwise it will have a bad smell: then break up the grains, rubbing them thoroughly with your hands, and throwing the husk into another tub as you proceed. When you get it all rubbed out, pour on the husk some clean water, wash them well in the water, to get out all the remaining starch; squeeze them out, and pour the water, &c. into the tub with the other starch; strain the whole through a cloth into a clean tub, and when the starch or white substance settles to the bottom, proceed as before directed.
