Take a pint of thin size, & heat it on the fire, and put almost a spoonfull of honey into it, & let it seeth a little and when it is but warme size your cloth (being ready straitned on a frame) dipping a brush in yr size & rub it on the cloth very well neither to thicke nor to thin but between both, & when that is throughly dry take the same size bing cold & spread it on the cloth that was sized before wth a knife very thin as may be and when that is dry it is fit to be primed, but first note that yor cloth must be fine canvas or other linencloth, the finer the better, if you slicke it wth a slick stone, before you prime it, it will be the better.
