Die maniere van ovens te make nom colueren te backen van alle soorten. Ende hoemense backen sal, or „the ways to make ovens for baking colours and how to bake them“ is a manuscript, which describes new techniques (at that time) for colouring glass, like painting glass with vitreous paint, silver stain and enamels.
The first folio gives advice about the firing process by using a three-chambered furnace.
The manuscript also contains a recipe for the production of silver stain, by producing a silver salt or a mixture of silver salts, which paint the glass in a yellow to brown tone.
Finally it contains recipes for blue, purple and green enamel by using gum water as a binding agent. For blue enamel the use of saffre or smalt as colouring agents is prescribed.
